Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone can apply to become a volunteer. Whatever talents or skills you have, we can use them! Volunteers can be grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, retirees, community leaders, former Cougar Players, neighbors, and more. Any community member who wishes to become a volunteer may apply.
All parents of children involved in our organization are strongly encouraged to volunteer, especially in the concession stands for our home games.
As a parent, volunteer, you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your child in a safe, fun-filled environment.
On rare occasions, the ACCJFL and our Board of Directors, may deny individuals the privilege of volunteering for reasons, past or present, that may be detrimental to the positive development of young people & other volunteers. When you apply to become a volunteer, you give the Valley View Jr Cougars Organization the right to conduct necessary background checks.

*All coaches and assistants must provide required clearances prior to the start of our season. Refer to the links below, and upload your paperwork in the system during registration to be a volunteer. Note, not everyone will be a coach just by volunteering, we as a board will work with the Head Coaches to assign assistants and staff. Emailing your clearance paperwork is also welcomed.
** Each player & cheerleader must have a family member volunteer a 2 hour shift during the season in the concession stand for one of our home games or pay a $40 per child a non-volunteer fee to the Valley View Junior Cougars.Process for becoming a Volunteer
Step 1: All volunteers will need to complete the Pennsylvania State Police Background Check. Follow the instructions below. The results are immediate and applying online is recommended because of the instant results.
Step 2: All volunteers will need to complete Child Abuse History Clearance from the PA Dept. of Public Welfare. PA Child Abuse Clearance
Step 3: Register as a volunteer using the registration link and upload your paperwork for board review. Any issues, feel free to email them to us using the email below.
