Jr Cougars Update 10-12-23

Hello all,

Hard to believe the end of the regular season is over, but our season is still not over! Lots more to go!

I want to first recognize how awesome our cheerleaders did at the 2023 ACCJFL Competition. They represented our organization well and performed a the highest level. Special thank you to all our coaches and advisors for their countless hours creating and practicing the cheers and dance routine. All your time is volunteered and we cannot thank you for all you do for our cheer squads. Thank you to our Cheer Rep Cynthia Snyder. People have no idea how much time and work is involved with coordinating cheerleading. Its a 12 month job that you volunteer for. You do an amazing job. And thank you to all our parents and guardians. Cheer, and football is a commitment. We appreciate all your support.

Couple quick notes: the "i" team all star game has been moved to October 21st at Old Forge High School Football field. Our start time is 3:00 this is for all of i team cheer and graduating i team football players.

The Lake-Lehman "Cheer for a Cause" Competition is set for October 21st at the lake Lehman High School. Cheer squads have begun preparing. This is our second year at the competition, and can't wait!

Both our C and B football teams finished the season with an 8-1 record and captured the 2nd seed in each of their brackets. Our C and B team will be playing this Sunday at North Scranton Vikings Field. C team is playing the North Scranton Vikings at 12:00 and the B team will be facing the Tunkhannock Jr Tiger immediately following the C game. If both team are successful on Sunday, they will both move on to the second round where we will be hosting the game.

We are hosting the second round of the playoffs on October 22nd. We will have an "i" "c" "b" and "a" game. Hosting this round give us the opportunity to bring in more funds through concession. With that being said, we really are looking for some help on that day in the concession. Some people still need to work the concession stand and this day is a good opportunity to put your time in. We will be there all day from 10-6. Our "i" team will be playing at 10:30, and hopefully our C and B teams will be playing as well. If you could lend an hour to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Helping out for even a half hour would be greatly appreciated.

Still a few tickets remaining for our Metlife Stadium Game. Tickets are available to the public.

I team banquet is at the Dunmore Holiday in on December 10th 11-2
The A,B,C Banquet will be on December 17th at the Montdale Country Club 3-6
