Junior Cougars Update 8-9-24

Hard to believe week one is here! Tomorrow (August 10th) is our first official game vs the WHYFO Stingers (Wayne Highlands Youth Football Organization AKA Honesdale). They play at their High School Field which now has turf. It looks great. The address for the field is 459 Terrace St Honesdale PA 18431. Most teams, us included, rely on sales from our concession stand. If you can, please visit their stand and help support WYFO. No coolers will be allowed inside of stadium. Also since it is turf, no Gatorade or flavored drinks allowed on sidelines. Water only. Please remember to conduct yourself in a manner that is appropriate for youth sports. Officials do not always make the right calls, but we need to cut them some slack. Show your Cougar Pride and show them why we have the best fans!

The I team starts at 4:15pm and the C game starts at 5:30. The B game will start right after the C game (appx 6:45) Weather looks fantastic, should be a great night. There will be no A game this week. They are on a bye.

What a weekend we had last week. On Saturday, we had our 1st Annual Jr Cougars Corn Hole Tournament. We had such an amazing turnout and had so much fun. Thank you to all the volunteers who put this together and special thank you to all that donated baskets for this event. Can't wait for next year's tournament!

Then on Sunday we had our pre-season game vs Dunmore. It was a hot day with a lot going on. It was also our picture day. We will have a makeup date for those who missed individual pictures. We will let you know when a date is set. Our football teams looked like they were in mid season form and our cheerleaders looked amazing.
