Hello all,

Hard to believe that practice starts in 3 weeks. Things are going to start moving fast so we wanted to update you on a few items.

First I would like to thank our Cheer Rep Cynthia and the coaches for getting the cheerleaders fitted for the fireman's parade on Ubaldo weekend. They looked great and did a great job representing the Jr Cougars. The majority of our cheerleaders have their uniforms. If you have not received your uniform don't worry. You will be contacted by your coach or advisor. Ticket money will need to be handed in for your child to receive their uniforms.

For football, we will begin equipment handouts within the next 3 weeks. You will be contacted by your coach on a date. Raffle ticket money will need to be handed in for your child to receive their equipment. Some of you have prepaid when you registered. Items you will need to purchase for the season are: A 5 piece (or 7) integrated girdle, spikes (preferably blue, gold, white or black) and a practice jersey. We have some older game jersey for sale that you can use for practice, they are $15 and in good shape. You can get one at equipment hand out. We supply everything else. We provide practice pants but always recommend that you purchase a second pair. Our practice pants are used and it is always a good idea to have a back up pair as we practice a lot. A lot of you purchase your own mouthpieces. We do provide mouthpieces, but in the event you do purchase your own, it is required that the mouth pieces are attached to the facemask of the helmet. Clear visors are allowed with a doctors note. Tinted visors are not allowed, even with a doctor's note. If you purchase are sleeves, they must have some sort of padding in them. Sleeves with no padding are not allowed. You are welcome to purchase gloves. You may want to grab 2 pairs because kids always lose them.

We will be having a Jr Cougars weekend at Dicks Sporting Goods at the Viewmont Mall. It will be on July 5th, 6th, and 7th. Please print out the attached coupon for 20% off your entire purchase. This is not limited to just football equipment, it is for all items. You will need to print the coupon and present it when checking out. Anyone can use the coupon, so please feel free to forwarding to family and friends.

If you are coaching this year, please remember to complete you USA Football Certification. New coaches will need to provide a criminal and child abuse background clearance before being able to coach.

Schedule is complete for all teams. I will email the schedule tomorrow once we get it typed up.
