Welcome to the Valley View Junior Cougars' Website. As we approach our 2010 season we want to make you aware of a few changes for the 2010 season.
The Valley View Junior Cougars have partnered with our sister organization, the Valley View Bulldogs.
The partnership should not affect any returning players or cheerleaders. All new registrations will now be brought before the board to determine which team that individual will benefit the most from. This will help both organizations in dealing with large or small teams. Registration cost, along with fundraising and concession requirements will be the same. If you have played for us you will be grandfathered in and will be able to stay with us. The Valley View Bulldogs will not be taking any 5 year olds, so all 5 year olds who register will be place with the Jr. Cougars. Siblings will not be separated between the two organizations. IF you are signing up a child for the first time and have had a child that has played for us in the past, you will have a choice to come back if desired. We will have weekly practices together and will be playing our 1st annual Jr. Cougars/Bulldogs Pre-Season Game on August 7th. We believe this partnership between the two organizations will benefit all the kids.
We have added a lot of information to the 2010 handbook. It is very important that you read it. Please click on “2010 Handbook” to read. You will also be given one at registration.
IMPORTANT: CHEERLEADING CHANGES
STARTING THIS SEASON, ALL CHEERLEADERING TEAMS WILL BE SEPARATED BY GRADE AND NOT BY AGE.
TEAMS WILL BE SORTED AS FOLLOWS:
A TEAM – 7TH AND 8TH GRADE
B TEAM – 5TH AND 6TH GRADE
C TEAM – 3RD AND 4TH GRADE
I TEAM – K THROUGH 2ND GRADE
*IF YOU CHEERED LAST SEASON AND ARE GOING INTO SECOND GRADE, YOU MAY MOVE UP TO THE C TEAM. ALL NEW GIRLS REGISTERING GOING INTO THE SECOND GRADE WILL BE PLACED ON THE I TEAM. THIS IS THE LAST SEASON THAT A SECOND GRADER MAY MOVE UP.
